Some of my friends used their credit card to fund their once in a life time weddings. They did get they dreamed wedding, a banquet in a fancy decorated hotel ballroom or function hall, crowded with hundreds of guests, feeling hungry enough to eat anything served on the buffet. The brides looked beautiful in the white gown like the princess in their childhood dream. The weddings were just awesome. They meant to be the unforgettable moments, not only for the happy couples, but also for the whole family. But what they need to face after that was a sad story. A new life with debt. The newly weds need to pay about 1.6 % interest per month. One of my friends ended up giving away his ego as a grown up man and a husband, by accepting his father's help to settle his debt. Some had to giving up on honeymoon and tighting up budget on daily consumption, while others had to borrow money from other place to settle the debt at one place. At this point, sorry is the only word to say.
I don't think it's a wise way to start a family. It's better to spend just a reasonable amount of money for the wedding, without having to have personal loan. They'd better spare the money for investment, home loan, car loan or rainy days saving. And who knows, the baby will come right away, and that means extra large expenses.
